They host a Researcher’s Database, a newsletter, research report’s and information sheets, including information on child welfare in BC.

The BC Child & Youth Health Research Network (CYHRNet) supports development of a vigorous, more integrated and collaborative research environment for BC’s child and youth health researchers, to raise research to a new level of innovation and excellence, and strengthen researchers’ capacity to compete for national and international funding.

The purpose of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada is to promote the well being of all First Nations children, youth, families and communities, with a particular focus on the prevention of, and response to, child maltreatment.

If you are looking for information relating to First Nations child welfare this is the site. FNCFCS has comprehensive lists of Information sheets, Publications and Recommended Readings. The Winnipeg-based First Nations Research Site (FNRS) is a partnership initiative of the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada and the Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare.

Two key purposes of the First Nations Research Site are to demonstrate effective methodologies for carrying out First Nations research and to build capacity and a research culture within First Nations child welfare agencies and communities that are culturally relevant and respectful of OCAP principles.

First People’s Child & Family Review

This is a free online accessible journal on innovation and best practices in Aboriginal child welfare administration, research, policy and practice.

The First Peoples Child & Family Review is a new, online journal, published jointly by the First Nations Research Site, Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare, and the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada. This e-journal focuses primarily on First Nations and Aboriginal child welfare practices, policies, and research. It is a journal that privileges the “voice and perspectives” of First Nations and Aboriginal child welfare scholars, researchers, practitioners, trainers, students, volunteers and community developers. The journal was developed by the First Nations Research Site, Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare and First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada, Inc. and will be published twice a year.
