Kelowna Training Session

On Thursday July 18th and 19th, 2013, the ICWRN teamed up with the Okanagan Nation Alliance to create an open forum based on Indigenous Research.  Some of the alternative topics, but relevant to “IR” touched on historical implications of research, myths about research, methodologies and protocols within indigenous communities and how to re-story and incorporate indigenous metaphors and illustrations and examples into our grant and report writing.

These vast issues and educational resources were discussed and dissected through 2 days of intense dialogue and high emotion.
