In 2010 our research network collaborated with three provincial organizations to discuss how we each contribute to Indigenous Research Approaches that would enhance the well being for Indigenous children, their families and communities.  We agreed that when we engage in community research that we would respectfully approach our communities.  We noted the importance to be considerate of the amount of research that our communities engage and participate in and we agreed that we would not ‘burden’ our people with research. Therefore we will collaborate and work respectfully with one another as we consider community research.
